Amelia Manderscheid

Founding Partner

Amelia is a Founding Partner at Legacy Art Partners, a full service contemporary art advisory firm.  Legacy Art Partners works with collectors throughout the lifecycle of their collecting journey, providing sales strategy, acquisitions plans and art market valuation and analysis.  She is a sought after public speaker for the financial community on art as an alternative asset class.  She is an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America in the specialization of Postwar, Contemporary, and Emerging Art.  

Prior to founding Legacy Art Partners, Amelia spent over a decade as an auction house executive.  She was most recently Vice President, Senior Director in Contemporary Art at Bonhams.  Based in San Francisco, Amelia led strategic development for the West Coast, quickly becoming the top revenue generator for the contemporary department in America. 

She staged the highest revenue generating exhibition in Bonhams history with "The Medium is the Message: Women Artists in Contemporary Art" at Bonhams Madison Avenue. She curated the inaugural exhibition to open the new offices in San Francisco, entitled "Trailblazers: California Artists at Bonhams."  She was selected to become a Bonhams auctioneer and continues partnerships with leading nonprofits as their charity auctioneer.

She is an active member of the Bay Area arts community, including SFMOMA’s Curator’s Circle; the Contemporary Support Council of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; the Auction Committee for the Headlands Center for the Arts; and is a Founding Partner of the Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco.

Amelia was a Specialist and Global Head of eCommerce in the Post-War & Contemporary Art department at Christie’s in New York before moving to the Bay Area. She was Head of Sale for Andy Warhol at Christie’s, overseeing Christie’s multi-year exclusive partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. As the primary driver for this extraordinary endeavor, Amelia strategized and executed global tours and sales initiatives of iconic Warhol highlights, fostering client relationships and driving major sales through Christie’s eCommerce and Private Sales platforms. After successfully launching Christie’s Contemporary Art Sales she worked with David Zwirner Gallery on launching their Online Viewing Room and on related innovation initiatives.  She continues to chronicle the changing landscape around innovation in the art market with her podcast “Art Breaker.”  

Amelia has an MBA from Columbia Business School and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Art History from Wellesley College.  Originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota, she resides in the Bay Area with her wife and two daughters.

Hannah Crenshaw

Hannah Crenshaw is thrilled to join the Legacy Art Partners team.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Virginia, Hannah worked at Christie's auction house in the Post-War and Contemporary Art department. During her time there, she specialized in online sales, focusing primarily on works from the iconic Andy Warhol Foundation. This experience provided her with an in-depth knowledge of the fine art market and the growing importance of digital platforms in art transactions.

Following her tenure at Christie's, Hannah spent five years in digital advertising, helping companies navigate the complexities of online marketing and advertising to drive growth. Her experience in digital advertising gives her a distinct advantage in reaching buyers and sellers where they are, using targeted strategies to connect with the right audience and enable informed purchasing decisions.

Hannah is the founder of Hannah Crenshaw Fine Art, an online gallery dedicated to helping emerging artists grow their reach while making art more accessible to new collectors. She lives in Virginia Beach, VA with her husband, two children and chocolate lab.
